Mercure COVID-19 Response

We would like to thank all our team members (& their support at home) and our guests for the truly amazing support since the COVID-19 outbreak. We are still closely monitoring the situation and taking swift actions to constantly update our operating procedures, to ensure Mercure Therry St remains a safe and healthy environment for all.

We have significantly increased our cleaning schedules in all rooms, public areas and back of house with a particular focus on touch points such as light switches, remote controls, phones, door handles, railings, elevators, bathrooms, doors along with all exposed surfaces using a specialised disinfectant.

Our food preparation and handling areas are now operating under set controls for our service team and suppliers along with strict procedures for glassware, crockery, dishwashing and general shared contact surfaces.Hand sanitisers have been in place in all public areas and back of house areas, with reinforcement of personal hygiene and proper handwashing to all team members.Lastly, to our wider hotel community, we know it’s been a hard week, especially on the back of the bushfires earlier this year – but nothing provides us more encouragement than seeing how we have banded together in support through these times. Surely this is unprecedented, but we will come through stronger.
